Lauren Walker is a multidisciplinary artist currently living in the Houston/Gulf area. She works across mediums of painting, sculpture, and ceramics to investigate her queer femme identity through imagined, absurd narratives. She loves working in clay because of its ability to hold the memory of her touch, as well as the way it forms community.
Walker received her BFA in painting with a minor in ceramics from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas in 2021. She went on to get her MFA in painting from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas in 2024 where she also served as the ceramics studio technician. Walker has participated in multiple solo and group shows across Texas with an upcoming exhibition at Stinson House in Houston. Outside of the studio you can find Lauren crocheting, baking, and watching trashy reality TV with her wife and two cats.
