Faye is a visual artist born in Bulacan, Philippines and raised in Houston, TX where she now resides. Growing up between the Philippines and the US has shaped her artistic practice, inspiring her to explore themes of migration, belonging, and transformation through material. Working across ceramics, painting, paper making, and installation, she draws from flora and fauna she encounters to create works that examine movement, memory, and relationships between people and place.Â
Pamintuan earned her MFA from Cornell University, and her BFA in Painting, magna cum laude from the University of Philippines Diliman. Alongside her studio practice she enjoys to share her love of clay through teaching. She previously co-founded the community printmaking studio OVERINKED in Quezon City and has exhibited her work throughout the Philippines and the US including OYG Projects in NYC and McNay Art Museum in San Antonio.
