Dee Dee

Dee Dee Mangum is a ceramics artist and educator living in Montgomery Texas. She is the potter-in-residence for Sam Houston Memorial Museum and Republic of Texas Presidential Library with work on display and in use in the museum's exhibits, historic homes, kitchen, and gift shop. Her works focus on how art and functionalism intersect. Haun. Her work blends functional forms with historic decorative patterns and motifs combined with elements of nature ranging from period utilitarian ware to ritualistic objects and vessels for worship and incantation.
