Alternative Kilns & Firing Techniques with Don Ellis and Randy Brodnax Looking to increase the dynamics of your work? Try something new? Want to create bright and exciting pieces? This workshop offers layer after layer of knowledge, analysis, and a whole lot o’ fun. This workshop is for all skills levels, don’t be intimidated if you are a beginner. There will be something new for everyone. We will have multiple raku kilns and 2 barrel kilns to play around with. Methods may include stannous chloride fuming, glass fusion, saggar, horsehair, interfere mica, naked raku, copper matte, and a critical evaluation of traditional raku firing processes with an unlimited atmosphere of experimentation and results. Max 30 people Please bring 8 bisque pieces with a grog clay body (like raku or Soldate-60 clay) or some will be for purchase at time of event. Lunch will be provided each day, and if we’re lucky Randy will cook one of his Louisiana specialties!

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: Third Coast Clay holds limited seating, and many of our sessions/events sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 14 days before your scheduled session/event. This will allow us to offer your spot to another student. Please email us at the3rdcoastclay@yahoo.com. Please note, we do not offer refunds. However, if you give us at least 14 day notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another session/event. However, if you do not cancel with at least 14 day notice, you will lose any payments you have already made. 7 Week Cancellation Policy Due to Low Enrollment: Classes are booked based on enrollment minimums. If the 7 week class has less than 4 students the class will be closed for that session and the clients and teacher notified by the Saturday before class was scheduled to start. Touch n Go and Themed Workshop Cancellation Policy Due to Low Enrollment: Classes are booked based on enrollment minimums. If the Touch n Go or Themed Workshop class has less than 3 students the class will be closed for that session and the clients and teacher notified 48 hours before class was scheduled to start.
